Scene 01 | Lounge

Get Comfy... We're going to be here a while.

This scene introduces us to the beginning of Covid-19 lockdowns. Stuck at home, loungewear becomes the primary outfit for most. Sweats and slippers made chic.

Scene 02 | Active

Pacing the Cage

After weeks at home, we've exhausted every show and movie on Netflix, tried the viral whipped coffee, and paced around the house. We decide to make the best use of this time at home by finally getting in shape. Whether taking "hot girl walks" around the neighbourhood, or trying out a YouTube ab workout, we are energetic and ready to hop into action. Athleisure is our new casual.

Scene 03 | Vintage

Y2Slay

Fashion trends tend to be cyclical. Little did we know that one of the most campy eras in fashion would make a major comeback. From graphic baby tees and low waisted jeans to the revival of Juicy Couture, this trend was so fetch.

Scene 04 | Formal

Échappé

Did you binge watch Bridgerton on Netflix? I sure did. Lady Danbury's town-riveting gossip columns kept me at the edge of my seat. The immense popularity of this hit show gave rise to a trend of regency-era fashion reimagined. Corsets worked their way into every day fashion.

Scene 05 | Streetwear

The Comeup

As restrictions slowly lifted, crowds made their way back onto the streets. The fashion world was ecstatic to bring streetwear back and the model off-duty look became a staple. Plain tees and blue jeans were elevated in a stylish yet "not trying too hard" manner.

Scene 06 | Swimwear

Bloom

As society begins to heal from the period of isolation we bloom and learn to love ourselves and our neighbours. Communities begin to work together to uplift small businesses who suffered losses, the weather begins to warm, and style takes upon a light and airy cottage core theme.

Scene 07 | Lingerie

Futurians

This scene represents the amalgamation of society’s efforts together in our progression forward. From breakthrough scientific research, to groundbreaking technologies and introduction of vaccines, this time like no other represents humanity's ability to move ever so strongly into the future.

Scene 08 | Modern

Travelogues

The show's final scene is usually reserved to express pride being a part of the Western community. This year Spur chose to evolve that idea. To truly express pride in one's community, we must highlight the individual beauty, creativity, and inspiration brought by the many cultures one can find in our society. We partnered with Western's Indigenous Students Association, Tamil Students Association, Ukrainian Club, and Western Indo-Canadian Students Association to bring to you the beauty of the diversity found on campus.
