SPUR FASHION SHOW '23 HAS CHOSEN TO SUPPORT:
519 Pursuit began in November 2017 here in London, Ontario. 519's goal is helping those in poverty hit a reset button, helping them re-energize, overcome their unique challenges, and reach their full potential. Through a friendship-based approach and an empathy-driven outreach program, kindness and understanding are at the forefront of 519
Pursuit’s work. Built on the ideology of meeting community members facing poverty and homelessness right where they are. This kickstarts reintegrating vulnerable members back into a supportive, and inclusive community.
Shining a light on London
519 Pursuit leads a variety of efforts to help vulnerable members of our London community. This includes an Outreach Team that takes to the streets of London to meet with community members and provide them with lunch, care packages, access to vital services, support and friendship.
Vision
The mission of this organization is quite simple and very reminiscent of what we value here at Spur: “to meet people where they are at with what they need to build confidence within them so they can move their lives forward. And, to make them realize that they have a community that cares for them, that they are not alone, that their lives have purpose and meaning and that there is always hope.”
