The Full Story
The Purple Spur Society, which was founded in 1942, is Western University's oldest and largest charity social club. Spur has embodied Western's spirit for the past 81 years, having the pleasure of providing a broad variety of social and philanthropic events each year for 500+ general members and 150+ executives and models. Spur is committed to bringing the Western community together and enhancing the student experience. As a club we truly live and breathe diversity, inclusion, empowerment, and connecting the Western community.
The Spur Fashion Show is one of the largest student run fashion shows in North America, and is Spur’s largest singular event each year. Since its founding, the Purple Spur Society has cultivated a tight-knit community of members, alumni, and supporters. With the help of our talented team and supportive local community we are able to reach our annual fundraising goals to aid causes close to our hearts.
